BATHORY - Hammerheart

6. 10. 2006

Byli ale i takoví, kteří stáli, stáli hrdě, s tvářemi ošlehanými mrazivým větrem, s očima plnými odhodlání, naděje, hrdosti. Stáli, nedotčeni těmito událostmi. Byli i takoví, kteří se nedali ovlivnit a nezávisle na dění kolem trousili kousky vlastní geniality do okolního světa. Ti, jejichž sláva a genialita přetrvají navždy – v jejich dílech.“
Evropa. Švédsko. Metal. Bathory. Quorthon.

Obrazek Ace „Quorthon“ Börje Forsberg, narozen 17. února 1966, do Síní Valhally přijat 7 června 2004…

Ona past bývá nazývána jménem starým a nechvalně proslulým.

Skrze black metalové začátky na albech „Bathory“, „The Return“, „Under The Sign Of The Black Mark“, se dostáváme k části historie kapely, která značila řekl bych zlomový bod. Quorthon chtěl něco jiného. Unikátního. Zjemnil zpěv, přidal vikinská, epická témata…
…vzniklo album Hammerheart.

Nádherné songy jako Shores In Flames, Valhalla, Song To Hall Up High, Home Of Once Brave…

Vypráví o cestě jednoho muže do zálivu Asa… A je jednou z mých nejoblíbenějších písní vůbec, ne-li nejoblíbenější.

To se nedá popsat. To musíte slyšet.

„One man rode the way through the woods
Down to Asa bay
Where dragon ships had sailed to sea
More times than one could say
To see with own eyes the wonder
People told of from man to man
The God of all almightyness
Had arrived from a foreign land…“

Verdikt: 10/10

Neuvěřitelné

(Wapster, 9. 10. 2006 21:52)
